The world’s most entertaining and popular past time "shopping" is taking a new form called - Social commerce. You may consider it as a part of online shopping or e-commerce. In my view it actually is a mixture of social networking sites and online commerce. Businesses are quickly leveraging out the purpose of the social networking – bringing out new roads for people to their favorite shops.

This new chocolate candy of internet, ready to fascinate you, will give a totally different feeling to shopping. Experience a new form of online shopping with Facebook where members of the FB will have deals and offers of their nearest Shoppe available in their smartphones. Don’t worry guys, if you don’t carry a smartphone, the offers will be posted on the news feed of the FB members where friends can realize the deal.

Profits to retailers –

Retailers who don’t have an online shopping site are very likely to benefit from this move. It also builds a platform for new market entries who are ready with their brands to lure the market but with a low budget of marketing. Even those retailers, who already offer their deals and discounts to mass on SocialShopper.com, BuyWithMe.com, Groupon.com, and Amazon.com would have another chance to win customer preference in communities.

Talking about the most salutary feature of FB in which the retailers are most interested, i.e. the 'Like' button you generally click whenever something catches your eye. Now this 'Like' button helps both the shopper and the retailer whenever you or your friends are shopping online by presenting an idea about the choice, preference and selection of brands.

Retailers will also gain from consumer reviews, choices, wants from social networking sites in building future marketing and business strategies.

Profits to Shopper-

Well if something is of no benefit to buyer then it’s worthless to sell. All FaceBookers who are not availing the benefits and offers available on other shopping sites can now have one or the other retailer to empty their wallet. The comfort lists are – increase in retailers and shops giving you end number of selection choices, price comparison and convenience of hunting the market. Discounts and coupons, that lure customers the most, will now help you in saving more.

So what do you think about this idea of Mark Zuckerburg, do you really look forward for the deals and discounts or would you just ignore that as another ad or marketing tactic?
